PAPA GRANDE’S, SODEL CONCEPTS
Right off Route 54 in Fenwick stands a strikingly blue, barn-shaped building that is home to one of locals’ favorite restaurants, Papa Grande’s. A member of the popular SoDel Concepts family of restaurants, Papa Grande’s is known for its welcoming vibes and hip, coastal take on traditional Mexican dishes.
At Papa Grande’s, every single ingredient, right down to its individual sauces and seasonings, is homemade with a precise focus on detail. Even items such as tortilla chips are made fresh from scratch. The staff at Papa Grande’s takes great pride in this meticulous culinary approach.
Leading its team is general manager Stevie Wishner, who first entered the restaurant industry as a hostess when she was in her early teens. After working her way up through several different restaurant roles, Stevie went on to earn a degree in hospitality before joining the SoDel family in 2017.
Supporting Stevie is a cohesive group of seasoned restaurant professionals, many of whom have been with Papa Grande’s since its opening. While their roles vary, all of Papa Grande’s employees share a devotion for exceptional service and a collective appreciation for getting every last detail exactly right.
This becomes deliciously evident from your first sip of its all-world beverage menu, which includes fresh margaritas and agave crushes, a host of ice-cold draft beer selections and one of the largest tequila selections in the area.
When it comes time to order food, you may need another moment to decide because the Papa Grande’s culinary team prepares some of the most authentic Mexican flavors this side of Tijuana. Be sure to start by sharing orders of their famous guacamole, queso and street corn, then backed by any of the following: blackened fish tacos, pork carnita fajitas or the surf-and-turf burrito. Whatever you order, it’s guaranteed to be homemade, prepared with care and creativity.
