Perhaps the most well-known “Emily” on the Eastern Shore, Emily’s Produce is synonymous with honest, hardworking family values, exceptional products and superior customer service.

Founded in 1999 in Cambridge, MD, Emily’s Produce started as a roadside fruit and vegetable tent by Paul and Kelly Jackson, who named the business after their firstborn child. This year, they’re celebrating the company’s 25th anniversary on the same land farmed by seven family generations before them. Today, Emily’s Produce has grown into a destination for food, family fun and community that features U-Pick experiences, on-farm kitchen creations, a catering operation and more.

“We’re all about the fresh, natural bounty of the Eastern Shore,” says Kelly. “That means we’ve always got fruits and vegetables picked fresh that go straight from our family’s fields to your family’s table.”

Emily and her brother Kyle have grown along with the operation, as well, taking on valuable roles that support the family business—and one another. They’ve each cultivated a passion for working in the family business and have studied collegiately to learn how to propel it forward. Emily graduated from Delaware Valley University with an Agri-Business degree and Kyle currently attends the University of Maryland, pursuing a degree through its Agriculture program.

Promoting community through its local farm experience is at the heart of Emily’s Produce’s daily mission. A main component of its success is its passionate and well-respected team of professionals. The average tenure of its 30-35 seasonal workers is more than 6 years—and many of its members have been representing the family business for over 10 years. Collectively, they pride themselves on cultivating excellent produce, community connections and value-added experiences.
