ANGRY ATLANTIC

Photo and description by Pamela Aquilani

When a coastal storm is approaching, I start to get excited about the opportunity to photograph large surf. Often, the large surf is accompanied by gray, featureless skies and driving rain, which is not the best scenario for photographing waves. This spring morning, as the storm had passed, the sun popped out and the surf was still churning — a perfect combination for a colorful, dramatic photograph. CS
