Stanley Steemer goes to great lengths to ensure properties are clean and safe

We’re all familiar with the bright-yellow vans and trademark “Call-1-800-Steemer” commercial jingle of Stanley Steemer, but did you know that the company has been owned and operated by one family on the Eastern Shore since 1993?

That was the year Jerry and Lisa Farrell opened their family-owned-and-operated business in Salisbury. The Farrells worked tremendously hard over the years to help their customers in need and successfully grew their business and service territory each year across the Eastern Shore.

Today, Jerry and Lisa’s sons Eric and Stuart and daughter-in-law Lauren oversee daily operations and manage crews to tackle whatever their customers need cleaned — from carpets, hardwoods, tile and grout to upholstery, leather, water-damage restoration and even air ducts, utilizing its fleet of state-of-the-art air-duct cleaning trucks. The Farrells provide same-day service and are available to clean when it’s most convenient for their customers.

The Farrells also regularly service a large number of commercial properties, including area hotels, weekly vacation rentals and restaurants to ensure strict cleaning protocols are met.

Internally, company safeguards extend to the technicians and their equipment, as the Farrells have mandated COVID-19 procedures for all team members in the field. Technicians wear PPE, including masks and gloves, practice social distancing and even have staggered start times to further minimize risk.

“We’re going the extra mile to ensure that we’re keeping everyone healthy and safe,” Eric said. “That includes a thorough sanitization of all our equipment in between every job — and we repeat this process at the end of the day, as well.”

Stanley Steemer also provides its customers a host of lesser-known yet popular incentives, including free duct-work inspections, in-house and offsite area-rug cleanings, a 10-day grace period after a cleaning, during which technicians will return at no charge and reclean any spots that may have resurfaced in the drying process, and a One-Year Cleaning Program available in which customers can receive three in-home cleanings.

Stanley Steemer’s longevity and success here on the Eastern Shore are based upon one simple yet crucial principle: complete customer satisfaction.
