The Belmont Jewel is the official drink of the final leg of the Triple Crown, The Belmont Stakes. This drink replaced the Belmont Breeze as the race’s signature cocktail in 2011. The White Carnation, made with vodka and peach schnapps, has also been a signature cocktail for the race. Ingredients
1½ oz bourbon whiskey
2 oz lemonade
1 oz pomegranate juice
1 lemon wedge
Instructions
Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain over ice into a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge or cherry.
