Quiet Anticipation

The 2025 Prime Hook Nature Photography Contest is underway. Sponsored by the Friends of Prime Hook, the contest gives area photographers an opportunity to compete for cash prizes and showcase their artistic skills by photographing local scenery, birds and wildlife. 

The Friends encourage younger photographers to get involved, too, offering special prizes to children 12 and under and teens up to age 17. Submissions are welcomed in the following categories: Beauty of Prime Hook; Landscape/Seascape; Native Birds; and Native Wildlife (non-Birds). Matthew Trucks’ photo, “Quiet Anticipation,” captured the 2024 Beauty of Prime Hook category.
