OVERTURE ULTIMATE HOME ELECTRONICS

For nearly 30 years, Overture Ultimate Home Electronics has improved the quality of their clients’ lives through technology. Founded in Wilmington in 1993 by John Fawthorp, the company has built a longstanding reputation for designing and installing innovative smart-home systems that provide superior performance with extraordinary simplicity.

Overture expanded to the Delaware Beaches in 2007 by opening a state-of-the-art showroom in Rehoboth Beach to serve the region’s locals and second homeowners. From the purchase of a new TV to a custom-designed, fully automated smart home, manager Michael Patille and his team of audio-video-automation experts are laser-focused on quality and value at every level of
the project.

“I want people to have smiles on their faces when they talk to others about Overture,” said Patille, whose team serve a 150-mile radius from the Delaware Beaches and routinely does work for clients residing in Philadelphia to Bethesda to Virginia Beach. “This is not a 9-to-5 job for any of us; we love technology. I want our clients to know and appreciate that we’re passionate about our work and the level of quality service we provide. We routinely work seven days a week and provide assistance to them with a phone call at night or over the weekend, if necessary. Their ultimate satisfaction is always our highest priority.”

While Overture sells the most sophisticated electronics on the planet, its team ensures that operating the technology is simple and stress-free. Patille takes great pride in making sure Overture’s clients are fully educated about each product and that his technicians provide them one-touch system control on their iPads and smartphones. These features include adjusting a home’s lighting, window shades, thermostat and cameras. Overture also provides automation solutions for landscape lighting, Wi-Fi, security and true-to-life entertainment, like in-home movie theaters, gaming rooms and beyond. The team is currently working on a project that includes the installation of the world’s most advanced indoor-golf simulator.

This level of expertise isn’t found in an instruction manual. Overture’s team of highly educated and trained technicians (each possesses a college degree) has successfully achieved their CEDIA certification — a multiseries education program that credentials professionals in the residential-electronics industry.

“It’s all about ease of use,” said senior installation technician Dave Rose, who’s been with Overture for 14 years. “Simple functionality is key to our clients’ lifestyles, and we provide them state-of-the-art home-automation systems that they can literally control with the push of a button. When we complete an installation, we don’t leave instructions. Our clients are fully knowledgeable — and a large number of them are second homeowners; they can easily operate every function imaginable on their iPads wherever they are in the world.”

“Communication is a key component to the success of our company,” said Patille, a 33-year industry veteran who previously created the technology infrastructure for MBNA Bank. “We establish genuine relationships with our clients that are built upon trust. We stand behind our word and our work — and we ensure that we exceed their expectations.”
