South of Kent Island, MD, lies Crab Alley Bay, which by its name provokes the image of crustacean abundance and habitat ideal for the crab’s summer residence. The colorful basketed crabs in this photo are minutes out of the water of Crab Alley Bay, and about an hour away from landfall, where an awaiting truck will bring them to a table to be enjoyed by many.
