Those who live on the Delmarva coast year-round, or visit in the winter, know how rarely it snows. The opportunity to see beaches and marshes covered in snow on a frigid winter day is an experience that contrasts deeply with our preferred experience of a hot summer day at the beach. When that unique coastal winter storm results in snow-covered marshes, what better way to see a freezing winter’s sunrise, with interesting patterns in both sky and marsh, than with a photograph taken at bird’s eye level?
