More than 1,000 children across the Lower Shore will experience the joy of opening presents on Christmas morning thanks to charitable initiatives of The Salvation Army, including its Angel Tree program and iconic Red Kettle campaign, one of its best-known holiday season efforts. Each December, Perdue Farms continues its tradition of delivering a truckload of gifts, including bicycles, clothing, toys and more for families preregistered with the Angel Tree program.

“The Angel Tree program provides toys and clothing to children and families who might be struggling to afford Christmas gifts this year, thanks to the generosity of donors and businesses in our community,” said Major Cristina Trantham of The Salvation Army in Salisbury. “Angels are available for adoption by community members and businesses, who in no small way help deliver the magic and message of Christmas to those in need. We are forever grateful for the generous support of our community and local businesses that work alongside The Salvation Army at Christmastime, and all year round.”
