A SEASONAL TWIST ON A CLASSIC COCKTAIL RECIPE BY SHANE VANSCIVER | DRY 85
Legend says that one of the very first Old Fashioned recipes comes from the May 13, 1806 issue of The Balance and Columbian Repository in Hudson, New York. The “cock-tail,” also a newly minted term, was described as: “a potent concoction of spirits, bitters, water, and sugar.” The recipe became synonymous with a drink style made with whiskey and today is returning to its glory thanks, in part, to its modern diversity.
