Looking For Love

Adorable, Local Pets In Need Of The Right Home

Ginger

Ginger is about 6-years-old and has been at the shelter for over a year. She is high energy and does not do well with other animals, but she is very eager to please humans. She loves to play and is very smart. Ginger is looking for a fairly active family with older kids to play with. She listens well and is very attentive.

GINGER is adoptable from the Worcester County Humane Society.

Zoe

Meet Zoe, a beautiful 5-year-old, spayed, Rottweiler-mix. Zoe is a ‘big boned’ girl of 95 lbs. and hasn’t met a person she didn’t like — she is a 100% mush! Zoe loves to go for walks, car rides or just to hang out for a Netflix bingethon. Zoe is a gentle girl who likes other dogs but is not a fan of felines.

ZOE is adoptable from the Humane Society of Wicomico County.

Queenie

Meet Queenie! Queenie’s shyness may fool you at first because she quickly comes around and shows you that she is really a lovely, friendly girl. Queenie is happy to sit near you and be petted. You will know she is happy because she will quietly purr and knead her paws. Queenie certainly gravitates to the people in the room. At this time, Queenie has not yet been introduced to other cats, dogs or kids, although she lived with other cats (including Bear) in her former home.

QUEENIE is adoptable from the Delaware Humane Association.

Puma

Meet Puma! This amazing girl was adopted as a puppy, but when her owner was facing their own hurdles, they had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender her back to DHA. She was very well loved and they had nothing but great things to say about their girl. Puma loves lounging in the office area and laying by your side. She enjoys treats, going for walks and LOVES car rides! If you walk her by the parking lot, she will pull you to every car asking for a trip around the block. She is very loving and affectionate, just looking for a new place to call home. She is great about waiting to go potty outside, gets along with other dogs, but does need a home without cats. She is sweet as can be!

PUMA is adoptable from the
Delaware Humane Association.
