A Distinctively Christian Education For Children
Lighthouse Christian School is committed to every student’s growth: spiritually, physically and academically. Lighthouse Christian School and SHINE Preschool, which also offers before-and after-school care, has successfully educated children from Pre-K through 8th grade for 23 years. Biblical principles are integrated into every subject taught at LCS, and its staff is committed to teaching students how to apply the truths of God’s Word to every aspect of life.
The Elementary School focuses on the “whole child,” developing critical thinking and providing a solid academic base and study skills beneficial for a lifetime. Small class sizes allow teachers to engage and instruct each child in a nurturing environment.
The Middle School program further develops critical thinking, academic scaffolding and study skills to shape lifelong learners. The curriculum includes Bible, language arts, math, history, science and electives. Lighthouse focuses on character through a gradual release of responsibilities — molding a passion for knowledge and inquiry that encourages each child to explore, take risks and investigate the world.
Athletics
Lighthouse Christian School sports programs include soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, track and chess.
