Whether it's midday sun or darkest night, Pool Tech has the talent and tools to turn your home into an exotic getaway
When the owner of the 5,000 sq. ft. log-cabin-style house in Hebron wanted to create an earthy, pond-style in-ground pool that would perfectly complement the home’s bucolic 26-acre plot, he had no intention of hiring just any pool company. So, following some extensive research and multiple interviews, he went with Pool Tech.
“I liked the people of Pool Tech as well as the quality of their customer service. They were friendly and responsive,” he said. “They worked efficiently; I also like that they are a local company.”
The owner had a vision of the pool that he’d hand-sketched for Pool Tech’s Trish Barker, who sat down with the client and proceeded to create a three-dimensional rendering of the concept on her computer that the client green-lighted.
Just a few weeks later, the kidney-shaped 50,000-gallon pool was complete. At its bend is a 6-inch-deep circular kick-out that can accommodate four lounge chairs. Natural rock surrounds the perimeter of the pool, which is poised at the edge of an expansive flagstone patio that sports several deck chairs. The custom-built adobe wall provides not only more seating but also an outdoor fireplace that really sets the mood for the balmy soirees the owner says he is fond of hosting. Throw in the rich ipe-wood deck with full outdoor kitchen, the log-style custom-made pergola and the immaculate landscaping — all by Bryan LeCompte of Yard Designs — and what you have is a backyard paradise that can make warm weather even better.
Pool Tech also knocked it out of the park at Betty & Lou Bush’s sumptuous South Point pool, which they had retiled and refinished with Pebble Sheen® to make it look brand-new.
“What I like about Pool Tech as much as anything,” offered Betty, “is that it’s not like a big company, even though it is a big company. It’s more like a family. Most of the people there are related in one way or another, and they are all so polite and attentive, both in the store and at your home. You just don’t get that kind of service anymore — and what they’ve created here is just so beautiful.
“Both the pool and the hot tub are heated,” Betty continued, “so we like to come out here at night and gaze at the stars while relaxing in the pool. What we didn’t necessarily predict is that the pool would also serve as a gathering spot for all the generations of our family. Whereas most kids hit an age when they just want to be with their friends, our grandkids actually bring their friends here, to enjoy the pool with us. There are 30 family members in the area with us now, and what every single one of us has in common is that we absolutely adore the pool!”
