THE FACES OF AMAZING SMILES CREATED WITH TALENT AND TECHNOLOGY

Tilghman Orthodontics offers patients specialized care from licensed orthodontists with more than 30 years experience and access to the latest technological advances in orthodontic treatment

When patients seek treatment at Tilghman Orthodontics, they not only receive specialized care from licensed orthodontists with more than 30 years experience, but also gain access to the latest technological advances in orthodontic treatment.

Drs. Tilghman and Schwartz are proud to provide the most innovative treatment options available, to ensure patients always receive the best possible care. This includes their in-house, state-of-the-art 3D printers, which allow for efficient turnaround and the highest degree of precision to fabricate patient appliances. They also utilize Itero intraoral scanners to make patient impressions. The intraoral scanner is a less invasive method of impression molding.

Dr. Tilghman earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Maryland. He graduated second in his class and earned many additional academic honors and distinctions. He then completed a three-year Orthodontic Residency at UMD and earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology with a concentration in Craniofacial Growth & Development. Dr. Tilghman now provides orthodontic treatment to patients from all over Delmarva.

Dr. Schwartz received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with distinction from the University of Minnesota. In 1995, she completed a three-year residency at the University of Tennessee, earning a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Schwartz is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

As licensed orthodontists, Drs. Tilghman and Schwartz both completed dental school, but unlike general dentists, they completed a two- or three-year residency in orthodontics at an American Dental Association-approved university-affiliated program. This additional, specialized education and experience allows them to provide well-rounded and tailored treatment plans that better serve patients. For this reason, it is important to visit a licensed orthodontist for orthodontic treatment, rather than seek treatment from a general dentist or an at-home self-treatment or tray-delivery service.

Tilghman Orthodontics works with patients of all ages at their Berlin and Salisbury locations. They provide orthodontic treatment plans catered to the individual needs and lifestyles of each patient.
