Tim Jones of Resort Palms brings the tropical feel of the Caribbean to Eastern Shore homes and businesses
Ever wonder where local landmarks like Sunset Grille, Sunset Marina and Harborside Bar & Grill get those breezy, beautiful palm trees and colorful plants? Well, look no further than Resort Palms, which brings the tropics to the Eastern Shore — in groves.
Resort Palms was founded by Tim Jones in 2009. Six years later, he expects to bring a full 40 truckloads of product to the homes and businesses of the Mid-Atlantic region.
“The response from the community has been so overwhelming, it’s surprised even me. At this point, we’ve become the largest supplier of this product on the entire East Coast,” Jones said.
Much of that traffic is due to the addition of clients such as Hampton Inn and Galaxy 66 in Ocean City, Fairfield Inn & Suites and The Jackspot restaurant on Chincoteague Island, and Paradise Grill in Long Neck, Del. He’s also helping design the landscape for the new Ropewalk restaurant, which is expected to open its doors in May where Fresco’s had been on 82nd St. in Ocean City.
Tim travels to Florida five times a year to inspect and supervise the progress of his product, which he cultivates with growers who are commissioned to create product specifically for Resort Palms. The result is a harvest of tropical flowers, plants and trees – some up to 30 ft. tall – that have been grown with the most meticulous care.
“I truly love what I do,” Tim said. “My business allows me to become an important part of every customer’s team, and I find that feeling to be extremely gratifying.”
“Resort Palms has been a big reason for the success of our restaurant,” praised Buddy Trala, owner/operator of Sunset Grille in West Ocean City. “The service is impeccable from start to finish and then some. That’s why we are with Tim Jones and will always stay with him, because he is here before the project kicks off and well after it’s completed. Then, there’s his quality of product, which is second to none. Year after year, it’s top notch and we feel the best in the market. We could not be happier with Tim and Resort Palms.”
Tim will personally come to your company or place of business and visually present all the product options, as well as provide instruction as to their proper care and maintenance. Resort Palms will also install the products and design the landscape environment. Tim said surpassing his customers’ needs and expectations within their budgets allows him to continually use his creative talents.
Keep your eyes peeled for Tim’s signature palm-tree truck and his new distribution center, which he intends to open in May on Route 611, just south of The Greene Turtle.
