PRMC Home Scripts
PRMC Home Scripts Ocean Pines is Peninsula Regional’s third outpatient pharmacy. Along with the original Home Scripts that opened within the hospital in late 2013, the pharmacy at Ocean Pines joins another outpatient pharmacy in the Delmarva Health Pavilion in Millsboro.
Both the Millsboro and Ocean Pines sites are community pharmacies and function just like any other pharmacy. Walk-in customers are welcome.
The pharmacy offers fast service supported by a team of dedicated pharmacists and technicians using a state-of-the art computer system to accurately fill prescriptions. When a prescription is ready, patients are notified via text message, email or phone call.
Patients may pick up their prescriptions at the drive-thru window or come in and browse a large selection of over-the-counter healthcare items. The pharmacy has convenient hours, including Saturdays, and a delivery service to Ocean Pines patients.
Home Scripts has partnered with Peninsula Regional Health System’s durable medical equipment (DME) and oxygen company American Home Patient to provide an opportunity to see firsthand the products offered for home care that include wheel chairs, walkers, commodes, oxygen concentrators and more.
Upon entering the Delmarva Health Pavilion at Ocean Pines, patients should look to the left, as the pharmacy is located through the Junior Board Pines Café. There’s also an outside entrance for those convenient hours when the pavilion may not be open. Contact pharmacy staff at 410-543-4769.

PRMC Ocean Pines Phase III/Phase IV Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Adult Fitness
The Phase III/IV Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Adult Fitness Program is a maintenance-level exercise program for individuals with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease, along with a prevention-based Adult Fitness Program.
The adult exercise program is unique because of the medical model that is followed. The staff consists of nurses and exercise physiologists specifically trained to work with individuals with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease and other health conditions to provide a safe and effective exercise program, along with lifestyle changes.
Participants are given an individualized exercise prescription to guide their exercise intensity, along with one-on-one education, plus a monthly telemetry monitored exercise session. Supplement oxygen is provided for participants with pulmonary disease, and periodic glucose checks are done for the diabetic participants.
The Phase III Maintenance and Phase IV program were established in Berlin in 2002 as a cooperative effort between Atlantic General Hospital and PRMC. The late Mr. James Barrett was instrumental in fostering this venture, which was located in the Berlin Shopping Center. Since 2008, the program has been exclusively a PRMC program.
The larger facility and expanded exercise equipment at the new Delmarva Health Pavilion Ocean Pines will allow PRMC to offer this unique exercise program to more residents of Worcester County.

Junior Board Pines Café
The Junior Board Pines Café is located off of the main lobby area of the Delmarva Health Pavilion Ocean Pines. The Pines Café offers a variety of sandwiches, snacks and drinks plus an assortment of specialty gifts.
The Junior Board Pines Café is a satellite shop of the Junior Board Shop located inside PRMC. This new Café features its signature chicken salad and tuna salad, made fresh daily on premises. As with the Junior Board shops at PRMC, 100 percent of the profits from the Pines Café will be donated back to the medical center for patient healthcare needs.
The Junior Auxiliary Board was established in 1924 to raise money for infant and maternal healthcare but soon expand this support to all areas of the hospital. Auxiliary funds built the first Nursery, Neo-Natal Unit, Cardiac Care Unit and Breast Care Center among other capital improvements and equipment needs, and the Auxiliary recently donated $1 million for PRMC’s Trauma Center.
During the past 90 years, the Auxiliary has donated more than $8 million to PRMC and continues to donate not only funds for healthcare improvements but daily supplies, handmade infant caps, chemo caps, post-surgical “hugging” pillows and other patient comfort items.
The Junior Auxiliary Board is a volunteer organization. For more information, call Faye Holloway at 410-543-7262 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
