Worcester Preparatory School

An Academic Leader Since 1970

Worcester Prep is warm and supportive, a close-knit community where teachers know every student on a personal level and parents know their children will be nurtured as well as challenged. The school attracts an average of 500 students from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.

From Pre-K to Grade 12, Worcester Prep has earned a reputation as an academic leader, but the value of a Worcester Prep education reaches beyond what’s learned in the classroom. With the support of dedicated teachers and motivated classmates, students graduate prepared for the challenges of college and success in any field they choose to pursue, including career fields they may help to create.

This combination of academic excellence, character development, and personal encouragement is worth the investment from families who want their children to become their best selves.

Worcester Prep instills social and emotional skills. Students learn that empathy, confidence, and perseverance in the face of challenges are as important to success as mastering mathematics, writing an essay or learning to code.

Open houses and private tours of the school are available throughout the year by contacting the Director of Admissions.

College Counseling
Worcester Prep is renowned for its personalized college-counseling program which is unmatched by other schools in the area. College counseling begins in the eighth grade and continues through Upper School.

The Arts
A rich arts program is woven through the curriculum and brings the school community together, drawing families and friends to campus for exhibitions, concerts and plays.

Athletics
Many of Worcester Prep’s student-athletes have gone on to play at the next level, competing on Division I, II and III collegiate lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, tennis, golf and volleyball teams.
